Light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty towing? What's the difference?
Light-duty trucks can haul cars and trucks up to 10,000 lbs with a small footprint for tight spaces.
A tow truck that is made to haul a load between 10,000 and 26,000 lbs. is a medium-duty tow truck. These are versatile tow trucks that have the capability to winch and tow anything from a passenger car or truck to a motorhome, bus, or delivery van.
Heavy-duty tow trucks are the largest tow and recovery vehicles and should handle loads up to fully-loaded tractor trailers.
We have a 20 TB rollback for all Light and Medium duty calls. With the 12,000 lb winch and the capabilities of using a side puller, this truck is very versatile. This truck can handle the job from lawn mowers, ATVs, large pickups, and anything in between.

Our 2024 Kenworth T-880 with NRC 40TB carrier tow truck is a versatile flatbed tow truck used for roadside assistance, recovery, and transport for all light, medium-duty, heavy-duty, and equipment calls. The 40TB has a nominal deck rating of 40,000 lbs. The tow bar lift rating is 20,000 lbs@0" / 10,000 lbs@58". The standard winch is 20,000 lbs, and the tow rating is 50,000 lbs. It has a deck height of 42", width of 102", and length of 28ft.
